Bookcase armchair - BIBLIOCHAISE From NoBodyandCo

Is a chair or is it a bookcase?

The Bibliochaise is both.. Very similar to the Ptolomeo Bookshelf which we blogged about before.

Nobodyandco make some great designs and are well worth checking out but the armchair caught my eye.

This would fit so well in a drawing room/library and could sit inbetween two Ptolomeo bookshelves and be an amazing feature.

PALLONE Armchair from Leolux

Is it Retro ?

Is it Modern ?

I'm really not sure. The Leolux brand is a cross between modern and retro with that 70's tv space feel ..

One thing the Leolux range offers is a statement to a living space or office lobby.

The soft lines would not work well with classic like the LC range or flexform but could work with sofa like tuffy time by B&B or of course Leolux's own so "Howlazzy".

Coco Armchair from Kappa

The Kappa Salotti Coco armchair is a classic design.

One of Kappa most famous armchairs.

The chair is designed by Paolo Passerinni's for Kappa Solotti..

The armchair come in the typical array of Kappa colours allowing this chair to fit in almost any living space or office.

Paola Lenti All sofa / chair.

The Paola Lenti all is basically a single large armchair that when put next to another "all" creates and sofa like a normal module sofa.

The one difference to me is the flow in the shapes. Even used in its single form is has a organic modern and contemporary flow but combine more than one as in the picture below the flow will take over a room.

Paola lenti has an array of designs, simple, modern and contemporary.

Not only living room but outdoor/beach/pool/garden furniture.

Zanotta Karella Armchair.

Now this armchair stands out.

The Karella armchair design by L. Beckmann for Zanotta is.. well odd..

Its almost a sort of lego shape or colour.. BUT i'm sure it would be so comfortable to sit on.

Polyurethane foam frame. Removable external cover. 69 x 80 x 60 (h) cm.

The Famous LC3 Armchair Le Corbusier from Cassina

The picture says is all really..

The Le Corbusier Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris French designer created the range which includes this LC3 armchair.

Cassina have taken on the designs and reproduced them.

Your be able to find cheap copies of this LC3 along with the entire range of the Le Corbusiser designs but Cassina is the one and only to opt for.

High quality production is what cassina is famed for.

If you have been in a modern office is so likely you have already sat on a LC3 armchair on one of the LC sofas.

Aro Armchair from Giorgetti

Simple... Classic... A-typical design...

The Aro armchair by Giorgetti is a classic.

Designed by Chi Wing Lo made from Solid maple and saddle leather.

This armchair could fit in many rooms including a office living room and a drawing room.

The Egg Armchair from Fritz Hansen

One of the most famous armchair ever designed.

The egg chair is up there with the LC range like the LC3.

Designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. The array of colours for this armchair allows it to fit into almost any living or office space.

Space in a way is the word. Used in many sci films and tv programs around the world to set off and contemporary but now a retro theme.

ex.pilot armchair by sphaus

The ex.pilot armchair by Sphaus is name due to its look which is similar to a "jet cookpit"..

The wrap around shape is a classical design many armchair take but this design looks great.

Some similar armchair can look over the top or over designed but for me this works very well.

Perfect for a modern or contemporary study and minimalist living/dining room. This chair wouldn't look out of place with more tradtional furniture and many be used to split a area in a room into two parts..
